Alison Doody

Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is a famous Irish model and actress. She made her debut in a Bond movie, A View to a Kill in 1985. In 1989, she played Nazi-sympathizing archaeologist Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Siobhan Doovan portrayed Charlotte in Taffin in 1988, and Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Doody was approached by a photographer and began to take on the role of model. Then she began an industry-wide career in commercial modeling. Doody tried to stay clear of glamour and nude roles, this was the principle she applied in her acting. If she came to the director's attention for a James Bond film, Doody was offered a small role in A View to a Kill (1985). Doody's name was featured within John Willis Screen World Vol. 12 of the most promising young actors from 1986. 38. Doody had just turned age 18 at the time she was cast in the character of Bond girl. She remains the youngest Bond girl. A Prayer for the Dying which starred Mickey Rourke also had a role for Doody in the character of IRA Siobhan. Doody was a silent actor in a 1987 film adaptation to The Secret Garden, playing Archibald Craven's dream bride Lilias. The episode of the Storyteller Sapsorrow was her first lead part. It aired in 1988 opposite John Hurt, Dawn France along with Jennifer Saunders. The year 1988 was the first time she starred as Pierce Brosnan on the movie Taffin. Her most notable part to date was that of Austrian Nazi sympathiser as well as archaeologist Dr. Elsa Schneider opposite Harrison Ford in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody is a part of the James Bond family, having acted along with Sean Connery and Jonathan Pryce in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody played the role in the British series Selling Hitler with Jonathan Pryce. It was based on the Hitler Diaries publication scam. She then moved to Hollywood. The choice was made to replace Cybill Shepherd as spokesperson for L'Oreal She went on to play opposite Charlie Sheen in 1994's Major League II as Flannery his girlfriend and agent. After nearly a decade from the stage Doody returned to acting by playing a minor role in the 2003 British comedy film The Actors with Michael Caine acting as herself in an awards ceremony scene. She starred along with Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film adaptation to King Solomon's Mines. In 2010, Doody shot a part on Danny Dyer's feature film The Rapture (2010). Doody was a guest on RTE's the medical thriller The Clinic. The project was later canceled. In 2011, she started the first season of two on E4 comedy show Beaver Falls playing Pam Jefferson. She appeared in We Still Kill the Old Way (2014). The Almeria Tierra de Film Award was given to her on November 21 in 2018. She also received one of the stars on the Almeria Walk Of Fame.
