Brooke Christa Shields Bio
Brooke Christa Shields (born May 31, 1965) is a famous American actress and model. At age 12, she began her career as a model for children. She received critical acclaim for her performance in Louis Malle's film Pretty Baby (1978). She continued modeling until her teens and starred in several dramas throughout the 1980s including The Blue Lagoon (1980) and Franco Zeffirelli's Endless Love (1981). In 1983 Shields quit her model career to attend Princeton University where she received the degree of bachelor's in Romance Languages. In the 90s, Shields returned to acting and appeared in small role in films. She also appeared in the NBC sitcoms Suddenly Susan (1996-202000), where she was nominated for two Golden Globe Awards. Lipstick Jungle (2008-2009) was her second nomination. Shields was back on NBC in 2017 in a recurring role as a Law & Order: Special Victims unit character in the 19th season of the show. Shields is the voice of Beverly Goodman on Adult Swim's animated series Mr. Pickles, and its spinoff Momma Named Me Sheriff. Brooke Christa Shields was a Manhattan, New York, native , born on May 31st of 1965. She is the daughter of Teri Shields, a actress and model, as well as Frank Shields, a businessman (1941-2003). Based on William Addams Reitwiesner research, Shields had ancestral connections with many noble families in Italy. These are namely (in chronological order of descent from 1355 to 1965) the Gattilusi-Palaiologos-Savoy, Grimaldi, Imperiali, Carafa, Doria, Doria-Pamphili-Landi, Chigi-Albani, and Torlonia dynasties. Her paternal grandmother was the Italian noblewoman Marina Torlonia di Civitella-Cesi who was the daughter of an Italian prince and an American socialite. Her great-uncle, Alessandro Torlonia, an Italian nobleman was husband to Infanta Beatriz in Spain. Teri was paid the sum of money by Frank's family to terminate the pregnancy.
