Allyson Felix
Allyson Michel Felix was born on 18 November 1985, in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix, is a minister who was ordained by Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a elementary school teacher at Balboa Magnet. Felix was an athletically inclined child and developed a passion for sprinting during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. At her first attempt, she placed in the top two in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 200 meters in a mere 10 weeks. Felix signed a contract for an official career at Adidas in 2003, and after that she enrolled at University of Southern California to pursue a degree in elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic Medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics that took place at Athens Greece. Felix set an Junior World Record taking 200m in 22.18 second. She became the youngest world winner in the 200m at the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007 beating long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix took part at her first Olympics in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo always finishing in the top three of her events.
