Allyson Felix
Allyson Michel Felix was born on 18 November 1985. She was born in Los Angeles. The father of the child, Paul Felix is an ordained minister of the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. Her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix showed a flair in athletics from the beginning, and soon discovered her athletic abilities during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. In only 10 weeks following her initial attempt, she placed 2nd in the 200-meter race at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003, Felix graduated from high school and signed a professional deal with the sports company Adidas before enrolling in the University of Southern California where she was studying elementary education. A year later Felix won the first Olympic medal during the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece breaking the world junior record sprinting 200 meters within 22.18 seconds. In 2005, at the Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the world's youngest champion in the distance of 200 meters. In 2007, she won the title in front of her Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix participated in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and has consistently ranked within the top three athletes in each of her events.
